FAQs

Orders / Shipping

What shipping methods do you use?

Currently, we ship via HK Post, which provides tracking to most locations. We’ve found that some country’s local post does not pick up the tracking info once they receive it.

HK Post offers an expedited service as well, which has some of the same tracking issues.

We can also ship via FedEx, if end-to-end tracking is absolutely necessary and faster delivery times are required. Please confirm with us so we can advise you of the additional shipping costs for this service.

How long will it take to receive my package?

HK Post standard shipping takes roughly 2-3 weeks to U.S., Canada, and South America. In Europe, roughly 2 weeks. In Asia, usually within a week.

HK Post expedited shipping takes roughly 1 week to North and South America.

FedEx can deliver in 3-4 days in North America.

Please note that on occasion, customs offices and forwarding organizations like ISC in the U.S., sometimes delay package delivery. This is out of our control, but we will do everything within our power to make sure you have whatever documents you need to expedite and extricate your package ASAP.

Shipping times around busy seasons such as holidays can also add to transit times, so please be sure to order with plenty to buffer time.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Yes, please. This helps us serve you more effectively and also track any problems or issues that arise so that we can take care of you better. Thanks! We hate spam as much (maybe more) than you, and promise we won’t share your info with any third parties.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Yes, we want you to be 110% thrilled! Just remember, needs to be in brand new, unworn, unused condition within 30 days. Please see our returns policy for full details.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we have shipped to 70 nations across the globe.

How can I cancel or change my order?

You may cancel or change your order up to 48 hours before we’ve scheduled to ship your package. You may check your estimated ship date and reach out if there are any changes needed.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing and assembly problems within a one year period. Please reach out if you need to make a claim within that time. Please note that if you or a third party opens the case back, or there’s user error involved such as drops or failing to screw down the crown, that voids the warranty because we can not guarantee that work.

Beyond this time period, we’re be glad to support you with any problems that arise and can provide estimates and repairs, just ping us and we’ll figure it out together.

Can you provide an invoice for customs clearance?

Sure, some backers have used their Kickstarter or BackerKit confirmations. If that doesn’t work, definitely reach out.

How accurate are automatic movements?

We exclusively use the Seiko NH35A workhorse, which has decades of engineering history for robust operation and is rated to -20 ~ +40 seconds per day (23º± 2ºC). Please allow the movement one month to settle-in and ensure that all the lubricants in the gears have fully distributed.

When will you be making a 42mm version of the COURG?

Possibly 2017. We are refining our infrastructure to better support improved manufacturing, supply chain, and customer care. I want to understand the entire life cycle of the COURG and digest and implement our lessons.

What's the difference between titanium grade 2 and grade 5?

Titanium grade 2 is pure titanium. This is hypoallergenic and non-magnetic.

Titanium grade 5 ( 6Al-4V) is alloyed with 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium . This hardens the titanium and means it is more scratch resistant than grade 2. This is non-magnetic.

Light scratches to titanium are not the actual material but an oxidized layer that forms a protective barrier. Titanium will re-oxidize, or you can buff the surface gently.

Where can I find the operator's manual?

What is RDXb1 Lume?

We use a proprietary blend called RDXb1 developed to provide a very true blue glow, with a special drying process to provide a hint of aged white. The second hands are C3, which glows green in the dark and adds a subtle touch of green in the day time. We use seven layers of paint to soak in as much light as possible.

Luminous paint needs to be charged in order for it glow or for the glow to last. The brightness and longevity of the glow will depend on how much light the paint has been exposed to. Under normal conditions the lume will be plenty visible through the night with no additional effort.

+ We recommend if you’re going into near-dark (if there’s too much dim light around it may be difficult for your eyes to adjust and differentiate the lume. In needed, give it a quick charge with a flashlight, lamp, or other light source to recharge the paint.

+ Sunlight will also effectively charge the lume.

+ You can also use a UV flashlight, which will quickly and effectively charge the lume.

In comparison with typical C3 green colored paint, sometimes the blue appears more subtle and less bright when next to each other. However, the blue color definitely powerful enough off regular ambient light charge throughout the day to last through the night.
